Creative Rationale

Over the frigid waters of Baffin Bay west of Greenland, where sea ice meets the unforgiving Arctic Ocean, extreme atmospheric forces create a visual symphony of contrasts. The brutally cold temperature anomaly of 42.9 K above normal translates into explosive bursts of electric blues and crystalline whites that splatter across the canvas edges, while the moderate wind speed of 7.5 m/s drives these color fields in sweeping westerly movements.
