Creative Rationale

Over the central Arctic Ocean north of Siberia, where the Kara Sea meets the polar ice sheet, extreme cold dominates this harsh landscape. The bitter temperature of -4.7 K creates a palette of deep contemplative blues and blacks, while the low pressure system brings two heavy color bands that fill the canvas with brooding intensity.
