Creative Rationale

Above the remote Arctic Ocean between northern Siberia and Alaska, extreme low pressure creates a dramatic atmospheric depression while surprisingly warm temperatures for this polar region generate unusual energy. The minimal wind and high humidity suggest a still, saturated air mass, which I interpret through Francis's approach of color pooling at the canvas edges with expansive luminous white space dominating the center. The temperature anomaly and low pressure drive dense, saturated color accumulations that seem to breathe and pulse around the periphery, while the calm conditions allow for generous negative space that feels alive rather than empty.
