Creative Rationale

Over the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean northeast of the Caribbean, where tropical currents meet temperate air masses, moderate winds from the northwest drive energetic color explosions across the canvas. The relatively high pressure creates dense pools of saturated color that accumulate at the edges, while the warm temperature anomaly ignites brilliant cadmium reds and ultramarine blues. The substantial humidity and light precipitation add a fluid, bleeding quality to the color fields, with enough wind energy to send gestural splatters reaching toward the luminous white breathing space at the center.
