Creative Rationale
Over the high-altitude deserts of northern Afghanistan and the Hindu Kush mountains, extremely cold temperatures and dry air create stark atmospheric conditions. The moderate wind speed from the southwest translates into medium-frequency undulations that vibrate across the composition, while the steep pressure gradient compresses Riley's characteristic parallel lines into tightly packed formations. The bitter cold temperature anomaly strips away all color, returning to her foundational black-and-white optical vocabulary where precise geometric relationships create maximum visual tension.
