Creative Rationale
Over the Peruvian highlands near the border with Bolivia, where the Andes meet the altiplano, this location experiences extremely low atmospheric pressure and nearly still air with gentle southwest winds. The very low pressure of 639.2 Pa creates heavy, anchored geometric forms that settle toward the bottom of the composition, while the calm 0.6 m/s wind generates a slow, largo tempo with fewer, larger floating shapes rather than many small dynamic elements. The cold temperature of 2.5 K manifests as deep bass circles and thick forms in cool blues and blacks, with the southwest wind direction establishing a subtle diagonal movement from upper right to lower left throughout the composition.
