Creative Rationale

Over the arctic waters at 60°N on the Prime Meridian, north of the Faroe Islands in the Norwegian Sea, an intense low-pressure system churns through frigid air masses. The extremely cold temperature of 10.1 Kelvin creates a contemplative, almost otherworldly atmosphere that calls for Rothko's deepest blues and blacks from his most introspective period.
