Over the Southern Ocean far south of Australia, at approximately 60 degrees south latitude and 100 degrees east longitude, this location sits in one of Earth's most remote and turbulent maritime regions. The extremely cold temperature of -2.5 Kelvin combined with moderate wind speeds and medium humidity creates an atmosphere of stark, contemplative isolation.
