Over the tropical Atlantic east of the Antilles, stable high pressure meets intense humidity in a zone of atmospheric tension. The significant pressure gradient creates deep archaeological layers of paint, while the moderate temperature anomaly introduces controlled chaos breaking through structured fields. High humidity makes previous compositional decisions bleed through current layers like memory fragments, and the absence of precipitation allows for contemplative, worked surfaces where each mark has been considered and reconsidered over imagined years of studio time.
