Over the high plateaus of Central Asia near the Hindu Kush mountains, where Pakistan meets Afghanistan and China, the atmospheric data reveals extreme cold at -241°F with virtually no humidity and moderate winds from the northwest. The extraordinarily low temperature and bone-dry air inspire a cosmic winter wonderland rendered in Peter Max's signature neon psychedelic style, with electric blues and purples dominating the palette while the moderate wind speed creates sweeping rainbow arcs that flow across the canvas.
