Creative Rationale
Over the remote Southern Ocean south of the Kerguelen Islands in the subantarctic waters, fierce northerly winds of 10.3 m/s drive dramatic atmospheric mixing beneath a low pressure system. The significant temperature anomaly of 23.4K above normal creates intense thermal contrasts, while the steep pressure gradient of 22.45 Pa/cell generates complex layering effects that I interpret through Richter's signature squeegee technique. The northerly wind direction pulls my paint drags vertically upward across the canvas, with the strong wind speed creating long sweeping strokes that reveal multiple temperature layers beneath - cool greys and blues dragged over warmer underlying reds and ochres, mimicking the thermal complexity of this turbulent maritime atmosphere.
