Creative Rationale
Over the high Andes of southern Peru or northern Bolivia, where extreme altitude creates an unusual atmospheric profile with very low sea-level pressure and frigid temperatures despite the tropical latitude. The gentle southwest wind of 0.7 m/s translates into subtle diagonal paint drags from lower-left toward upper-right, while the steep pressure gradient creates multiple revealed layers of complexity. The significant temperature anomaly of 16K above normal brings warm underlying colors—deep reds and yellows—that show through cooler surface layers of greys and muted greens, creating the rich stratified effect characteristic of Richter's squeegee technique.
