Creative Rationale

Over the Arctic Ocean at 60°N on the prime meridian, where the Greenland Sea meets the edge of the polar ice cap, frigid winds howl across the barren seascape. The extremely cold temperature of 11.7 K drives my palette toward muted earth tones with sharp icy accents, while the moderate 10.2 m/s wind from the west-northwest creates energetic splatters that push color toward the eastern edges of the canvas. The low sea-level pressure manifests as heavy, saturated color pools accumulating at the periphery, leaving Francis's characteristic luminous white breathing space to dominate the frozen center.
