Creative Rationale
Over the steppes of Kazakhstan, where continental winds sweep across vast grasslands, the moderate wind speed of 6.4 m/s creates slashing diagonal marks cutting through the composition, while the extreme cold temperature of 24.3 K drives a palette dominated by icy whites and greys punctuated by aggressive bursts of flesh pink warmth. The high pressure of 1017.5 Pa compresses forms against the picture plane, creating violent collisions of paint where cadmium yellow and viridian green clash with raw umber and ivory black in pure gestural abandon.
