Creative Rationale
Over the vast steppes of Central Asia in Mongolia, where extreme cold meets arid continental winds, the atmospheric data reveals a harsh landscape of low pressure and bitter temperatures far below normal. The moderate northwest wind at 6.1 m/s translates into aggressive diagonal slashes cutting across the composition, while the frigid -240°C temperature drives a palette of icy greys and blacks punctuated by violent flashes of flesh pink where the paint seems to fight against the cold. The extremely low humidity and absence of precipitation create a dry, aggressive surface where thick impasto marks collide without the softening effect of moisture.
