Creative Rationale
Over the Western Pacific east of the Philippines, warm tropical air carries moderate moisture and gentle westerly winds across open ocean waters. The elevated temperature anomaly of 11.7K above the zonal mean translates into warm salmon and golden ochre washes that pool and spread across the canvas, while the 72% humidity creates translucent layering effects with colors bleeding into one another. The moderate precipitation of 0.8 kg/m^2 forms deeper saturated pools of teal and cerulean that soak outward, and the westerly wind direction guides these color stains to flow from left to right across the composition.
