Over the Arctic Ocean north of the East Siberian Sea, where extreme cold meets turbulent atmospheric conditions, the weather data reveals a story of intense contrasts. The extremely low temperature of 8.3 K (-265°C) combined with low pressure and high humidity creates an environment of crystalline stillness broken by subtle wind movements. I've interpreted this through Francis's approach to color pooling at the edges - the bitter cold manifests as muted earth tones and icy blues gathering densely around the canvas perimeter, while the low wind speed allows for expansive luminous negative space to dominate the center, creating a sense of arctic vastness and atmospheric suspension.
