Creative rationale

Over the high Andes of southeastern Peru or western Bolivia, where extreme altitude creates an otherworldly atmospheric environment, the extraordinarily low sea-level pressure reading suggests we're witnessing conditions at significant elevation above the tropical mountains. The moderate northwesterly winds and relatively high humidity, combined with the striking temperature anomaly, inspire a composition where vivid color pools gather at the canvas edges like atmospheric pressure systems, while the center remains a luminous breathing space of white. The gentle wind speed translates to controlled but energetic splatters that don't quite reach the canvas center, creating Francis's characteristic tension between explosive color and meditative void.
