Over the high-altitude plateaus of Central Asia, near the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, extreme conditions create a dramatic atmospheric canvas. The exceptionally low pressure of 821.8 Pa suggests high-altitude thin air, while the bitter cold of 25.1 K (-248°C) demands a palette of deep, saturated blues and purples with explosive bursts of warming yellows and reds.
