Creative rationale

Over the high Andean plateau of southern Peru and Bolivia, where thin air creates extreme atmospheric conditions, the unusually low pressure and gentle winds inspire a composition of concentrated color pools gathering at the canvas edges. The cold temperature anomaly translates to muted earth tones with occasional bursts of saturated color, while the moderate humidity and absence of precipitation create expansive breathing room in the center, embodying Francis's signature luminous negative space.
