Over the Svalbard archipelago in the high Arctic, brutal winds tear across the frozen landscape at nearly 15 meters per second, creating a scene of violent atmospheric upheaval. The extreme cold temperature of 10.4 Kelvin drives a palette dominated by icy grays and blacks, while the moderate pressure and light precipitation add chaotic streaks of diluted color cutting through the composition.
