Creative Rationale
Over the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, where Baffin Bay meets the harsh northern landscape, extreme cold and moderate winds create a haunting atmospheric tension. The brutally low temperature of 11.5 Kelvin translates into a palette dominated by icy blues and muted earth tones, while the 8.7 m/s winds from the northeast drive explosive splatters of color toward the canvas edges, leaving vast expanses of luminous white space in the center. The moderate pressure and dry conditions create sparse but intense color pools that accumulate at the periphery like frozen paint against the arctic void.
