Creative Rationale
Over the Southern Ocean southwest of the Kerguelen Islands, fierce winds whip across turbulent waters under a brooding sky. The low pressure system at 980.7 Pa creates dense accumulations of saturated color that pool heavily at the canvas edges, while the strong 15.9 m/s winds drive explosive splatters and energetic bursts of pigment across the composition. The extreme cold of 11.5 K manifests as muted earth tones punctuated by icy blue accents, with the 95% humidity creating flowing, liquid-like color bleeds that merge and separate organically throughout the piece.
