Creative Rationale
Over the high plateaus of Central Asia, where Pakistan meets Afghanistan in the Hindu Kush mountains, the atmosphere tells a story of extreme cold and aridity. With temperatures plunging to -242°F and humidity at a mere 22%, I've created vast expanses of translucent color that pool sparingly across the canvas, like moisture struggling to gather in this harsh, elevated landscape. The gentle northwest wind guides subtle color migrations, while the intense cold manifests as cool cerulean and teal washes that spread with crystalline clarity against warm cream canvas, punctuated by occasional warmer salmon pools where thermal pockets might form in this desolate terrain.
