Creative Rationale
Over the Pacific Ocean east of Japan, where warm oceanic currents meet atmospheric disturbance, high humidity and mild pressure create conditions for organic dissolution and biomorphic transformation. The moderate temperature anomaly generates forms that float between recognition and abstraction, while steady winds from the east drive gestural energy across thin atmospheric washes. Zero precipitation allows underlying earthen structures to emerge through translucent veils, creating Gorky's characteristic tension between the geological and the bodily.
