Creative Rationale
Over the Southern Ocean southeast of the Kerguelen Islands, where frigid Antarctic waters meet fierce westerly winds, atmospheric turbulence creates layers of visual complexity. The moderate southwest wind at 10.8 m/s drives diagonal squeegee strokes from lower-left to upper-right across the canvas, while the steep pressure gradient of 15.38 Pa/cell reveals multiple paint layers beneath each drag. The significant temperature anomaly of 24.6 K above normal transforms what should be icy blues into warmer underlying reds and oranges breaking through the cooler surface grays and greens.
