Over the remote Arctic Ocean northwest of the Mackenzie Delta in Canada's Beaunavista Sea, extreme cold and moderate winds create a harsh yet dynamic atmosphere. The extraordinarily low temperature of 10.5 Kelvin (-262°C) pushes this composition toward muted, crystalline tones rather than Francis's typical warm primaries, while the moderate 6.7 m/s winds from the southwest drive color outward in controlled bursts rather than explosive splatters.
