Creative Rationale
This artwork interprets the atmospheric conditions over the tropical Atlantic Ocean, northeast of the Caribbean islands near Bermuda. The high sea-level pressure of 1023.2 Pa manifests as large, encompassing sacred circles and spirals that dominate the composition, while the moderate 6.0 m/s wind from the southeast creates gently rotating spiral forms. The extremely cold temperature of 26.7 K (-246°C) shifts the palette heavily toward soft ethereal pastels - rose, powder blue, and sage - with only touches of deeper jewel tones, while the high 74% humidity brings forth flowing botanical and biomorphic elements that seem to breathe and undulate like sea plants in an oceanic meditation.
