Over the South China Sea near the coast of southern China, where the atmospheric pressure gradient creates steep vertical layers in this maritime environment. The significant temperature anomaly and high humidity drive a composition of deeply layered, translucent marks where earlier gestural work bleeds through multiple generations of overpainting, while the gentle wind creates subtle underlying textures that feel scrubbed and reworked across years of studio practice.
