Above the high Andes of Peru and Bolivia, where the thin air creates extreme atmospheric conditions, this composition emerges from the stark contrasts present in the data. The extremely high temperature anomaly of 18.9°C and low humidity of 31% drive tortured, desiccated forms that press urgently against the picture plane, while the gentle wind allows these biomorphic shapes to maintain their anguished integrity without dissolution.
