Creative Rationale
Over the Southern Ocean at 60 degrees south latitude, directly south of the Atlantic-Indian Ocean boundary, fierce Antarctic winds whip across dark waters under perpetually overcast skies. The extreme cold (-17K) and saturated humidity create an atmosphere of muted, icy tension, while the moderate wind speed drives color outward in controlled bursts rather than explosive chaos. I've interpreted this harsh polar environment through Francis's aesthetic of peripheral color accumulation, using desaturated blues and greens with stark white centers to evoke the desolate beauty of Antarctic waters, where color seems to freeze at the edges while the center remains a luminous void.
