Creative Rationale

Over the Southern Ocean far south of Australia in the subantarctic waters near 60°S 100°E, fierce winds and low pressure create a turbulent atmospheric dance above the icy seas. The extremely cold temperature anomaly of -4.2K with high humidity and light precipitation suggests a harsh polar environment where color would be muted yet intense where it appears. Following Sam Francis's approach, I've interpreted the strong 13.1 m/s winds as explosive splatters of color bursting outward from concentrated pools, while the low pressure of 976.5 Pa creates heavy accumulations of saturated pigment at the canvas edges, leaving luminous white breathing space in the center to suggest the stark beauty of this remote polar region.
