Creative Rationale

Over the vast steppes of central Kazakhstan, where continental extremes create harsh atmospheric conditions, an extraordinary weather system unfolds with extremely low pressure and bitter cold temperatures far below the regional average. The brutal 25 Kelvin temperature (-248°C) and moderate northerly winds from 354 degrees drive my interpretation toward explosive bursts of icy blues and stark whites erupting from the canvas edges, while the low pressure creates dense accumulations of saturated color that seem to pool and concentrate at the periphery. The dry 25% humidity and absence of precipitation leave expansive luminous negative space in the center, creating a breathing void surrounded by violent splashes of ultramarine and cadmium that capture the raw energy of this extreme continental climate.
