Creative Rationale
Over the subtropical Pacific Ocean east of Japan, where warm currents meet dynamic atmospheric forces, low pressure drives intense energy while high humidity creates dense, saturated conditions. The moderate westerly wind at 11.9 m/s pushes color outward in explosive bursts, while the low pressure of 996.1 Pa concentrates heavy pools of saturated pigment at the canvas edges. The warm temperature anomaly translates to vivid, luminous colors - cadmium reds and ultramarines - that splash and pool with the gestural freedom of Francis's most energetic works, leaving breathing space in the center where negative white space glows like tropical light on water.
