Creative Rationale
Over the Arctic Ocean northwest of Iceland, where the atmosphere carries an unusual warmth anomaly of nearly 15 degrees above normal despite the frigid 4.3 Kelvin temperature. The extremely high humidity creates an ethereal, luminous quality while the gentle southwest wind softly blurs the boundaries between color fields. I've interpreted this as two primary bands of deep, cold contemplative colors - ultramarine blues and dark teals - that seem to glow from within like Rothko's late contemplative works, with the high pressure creating subtle breathing room and the moisture adding an inner luminescence to the pigments.
