Creative Rationale

Over the high Andes of Peru and Bolivia, where extreme altitude creates unusually low atmospheric pressure and bitter cold despite the tropical latitude, the suprematist forms express this harsh mountain environment through stark geometric contrasts. The very low pressure translates to fewer, more massive shapes that seem to hover weightlessly in the thin air, while the extreme cold anomaly drives the palette toward deep blacks and blues with only occasional bursts of warmer colors.
