Over the Southern Ocean southeast of the Kerguelen Islands, harsh winds carve through a landscape caught between ice and water, where organic forms struggle against atmospheric pressure. The moderate humidity and significant temperature anomaly create biomorphic shapes that hover between melting ice formations and visceral internal organs, while the strong westerly winds drive aggressive gestural marks across thin, dissolving washes. The slightly below-normal pressure compresses these forms into a claustrophobic dance of earth tones punctuated by unexpected flashes of acid green and cerulean blue breaking through the surface.
