Creative rationale
Over the remote Southern Ocean southwest of the Kerguelen Islands, where frigid Antarctic waters meet warmer currents, the atmosphere carries a restless energy. The moderate humidity of 68% creates forms that partially dissolve at their edges, while the significant temperature anomaly of 10.4°C above normal infuses the composition with tortured, emotionally charged shapes pressing urgently against the surface. The strong westerly winds at 14.0 m/s manifest as aggressive gestural marks cutting through thin atmospheric washes, and the high pressure of 1023.3 hPa allows these biomorphic forms to float in expansive painterly space rather than compress together.
