Creative rationale
This composition emerges from the Southern Ocean near the Antarctic Peninsula at 60°S, where an extraordinary temperature anomaly of 35.2°C above normal creates a surreal thermal disruption in the polar landscape. The extreme anomaly manifests as tortured, pressing biomorphic forms that seem to writhe against invisible boundaries, while 100% humidity dissolves their edges into bleeding, ambiguous shapes that hover between organic matter and atmospheric phenomena. Light winds from the north allow these forms to maintain their introspective, inward-turning character rather than being swept into aggressive gestural marks.
