Creative rationale

Over the Siberian Arctic Ocean northeast of Russia, where temperatures are dramatically warmer than expected for this polar region, I've created layered paint drags that reveal the underlying warmth beneath cold surface tones. The moderate southwest wind drives diagonal squeegee strokes from lower-left to upper-right, while the steep pressure gradient of 27.95 hPa/cell creates multiple revealed layers of complex color interaction. The remarkable +19.2°C temperature anomaly emerges as warm oranges and reds bleeding through cooler grey and blue surface layers.
