Creative Rationale
Over the Southern Ocean at 45 degrees south latitude on the Prime Meridian, where the roaring forties meet the vast Antarctic waters, fierce winds and near-saturating humidity create a tempestuous maritime atmosphere. The extreme cold temperature of 10.9 K demands a palette of steely blues and winter whites, while the high humidity and light precipitation call for dense, overlapping gestural clusters that accumulate like storm clouds. The strong 13.8 m/s winds from the northwest transform into elongated diagonal sweeps that cut through the composition, creating dynamic movement across a luminous ground suggested by the high atmospheric pressure.
