Creative Rationale
Over the North Atlantic, roughly halfway between Newfoundland and the Azores, high pressure dominates with moderate winds from the northeast and cool temperatures. The high pressure of 1021.2 Pa creates an open, luminous ground that allows brilliant color to breathe and emerge, while the moderate 9.2 m/s wind generates diagonal gestural energy flowing from northeast to southwest. The cool 17.9K temperature calls for a palette mixing winter's steely blues and grays with touches of warmer cadmium passages, and the dry conditions (0 precipitation) create more open gestural clusters with breathing room between color masses.
