Creative Rationale
Over the Arctic Ocean at 70°N, 20°W, northeast of Greenland in the perpetual twilight of the polar region. The moderate wind speed of 12.3 m/s creates densely packed calligraphic marks filling the composition, while the extremely cold temperature (-269.95°C) demands a deep blue-black ground with silvery-cool writing. The very high humidity of 96% gives the marks an inner luminosity and pulsing glow, creating networks of spiritual light streaming through the arctic darkness in Tobey's all-over meditative style.
