Creative Rationale

Over the Southern Ocean near the boundary between the Atlantic and Indian basins, at 60 degrees south latitude, extreme atmospheric conditions create a landscape of perpetual motion and saturated air. The very low pressure system (971.2 Pa) with its steep gradient drives my composition toward bold, expansive calligraphic gestures that sweep across the entire canvas, while the extreme cold (-10.5K) yet paradoxical warmth anomaly (+29.1K) creates tension between cool silver-blue grounds and slightly warmer luminous marks. The complete saturation (100% humidity) transforms every mark into a glowing, pulsing network of spiritual energy, with gentle southerly winds organizing the dense calligraphic writing into flowing vertical streams that suggest both microscopic cellular structures and cosmic light filtering through the polar darkness.
